I am 85 years old and I fell badly in the street in Solihull. A very caring policeman stayed with me until the ambulance arrived. The ambulance men put me in a neck brace in case of spinal injury and took me to Heartlands Hospital. A nurse attended me plus a doctor. I had X-rays, and CT scan, stitches to a deep wound to my face and checks regarding concussion. I was there for about 4 and a half hours and always had someone attending to me. My wife and daughter came and sat in the room with me. We all thought my care and treatment was excellent. It was caring, efficient and respectful. We even managed a bit of humour. The man serving tea was very kind and caring too.
