Referred from Sunderland Eye Infirmary due to hemorrhaged nerves in my eyes for a scan. From start to finish the care I received has been first class . Fully informed of what I should expect, treat with respect and shown empathy from nurses and doctor on ward. Referred for a CT scan with no que - the radiographer was friendly, explained the procedure and explained side effects. I had a lumbar puncture undertaken - the doctor was amazing took their time, made me as comfortable as possible whilst the nurse sat with me and held my hand and offered reassurance. I was anxious and terrified yet the team on E55 were amazing. I was very well looked after -2 other staff members provided sandwiches and hot drinks regularly. A very scary experience made 110 times easier by such lovely and competent staff. Faultless service- so lucky to have the NHS and such a wonderful team of caring individuals 2/5/15.
"Incredible service - faultless * ward E55"
