I was advised to book an appointment with the on call GP at the hospital after ringing 111 with stomach pains and vomiting. From the time seeing the doctor and the time being discharged from the hospital the next day was 29 hours, within that time I had been in surgery with appendicitis. I was thoroughly impressed with the speed of the referral to the hospital and being seen to and treated in the EAU, being taken to a ward to wait for surgery and the thorough treatment and care after my surgery. I was also very pleased that I was fit and able to be discharged the next day as I live 3 and a half hours away as I was taken into hospital from the University. I can't begin to think of what could have happened if I wasn't seen to straight away and couldn't thank the doctors and nurses enough for seeing me and even though my symptoms were unusual, still going through with the surgical procedure. I wanted to leave my compliments to the hospital staff who looked after me and were so quick to help me.
"Very Impressed!"
