"Poor Communication in Royal Bolton - M3"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Some of the staff at the Royal Bolton on M3 were very friendly when I was in hospital for the birth of my child. However, one doctor spoke to me through the nurse rather than to me, and he spoke about me like I wasn't there. Having things explained to me could have been better.

We are very sorry that the overall positive experience on the birth of your child was marred by a doctor not speaking to you directly and that we could have better explained things to you.

We have brought your comments to the attention of staff on M3 so that this can be shared at their next ward meeting.
