Having used the department for replacement hearing aid batteries over the past 5 years without any problems, in and out in15 to 20 minutes, including the walk to and from the car park. Arriving today at about 10am (17th April '15) with the new system, it took 45 minutes to get replacement batteries, incurring a car park charge of £1.50.As most hearing aid users are elderly, this delay now costs them at least £1.50. The queue was longer as I left than when I arrived. The waiting area was quite crowded, and seemed to be running out of seating capacity. Whilst I don't see the whole "audiology picture", it seems a error of judgement to move tube and battery replacements to one day a week putting more stress on staff and patients. The staff were as always helpful and apologetic, but just seems a step backwoods and a bit disappointing. David Rickets
