I recently had breast surgery and was placed on Chanctonbury Ward at Worthing Hospital. The staff were absolutely brilliant. I had to stay in for one night and was impressed with all the staff from Anesthetist and surgery team to staff helping with hospital stockings - they were all friendly and efficient. I knew exactly what was happening and what to expect, and therefore it was not frightening. I particularly want to commend a nurse, who helped me from before my operation and then afterwards when I was on the ward. They deserve a medal for kindness. They handled potentially embarrassing situations with diplomacy and tact and kindness, as well as being incredibly efficient at their job. Thank you to everyone for your help during my time in hospital. Catherine Brown (Cat)
