"Breastfeeding my newborn daughter"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as the patient),

Im writing this as my week old (today) daughter feeds away lol! I had her by elective c section last week and ended up staying in hospital for 6 days. She was a little bit poorly and had an over night in the NICU but was nothing serious.

I just wanted to sing the praises of the breastfeeding support girls at Wishaw as without them I would have bad a total melt down! ! ! ! They were absolutely superb...in particular a girl named Holly and another called Sandra. There was also one on the Sunday who helped me express milk to take back and forward to NICU to feed my baby!

They were supportive, kind and made me tea and toast at stupid o'clock to help keep my strength up for feeding my daughter. Honestly I really felt like giving up a few times even though I was determined to feed her. Breastfeeding was one of the most difficult things I think I did with my first Daughter but the joys outweigh any difficulty. Anyway, didnt really know who it was best to message but felt it really needed to be said. Absolute first class team of girls!

Just thought if anyone could pass a message on it might be here.

Or if you have an email address for the team directly. Whoever the manager/team leader is should know how truly wonderful this team is! !
