"Good care in the Endoscopy department at East Surrey Hospital"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I was extrmely nervous when I arrived to the point of shaking. Tracey was my admissions nurse and was very sympathetic and explained the procedure to me to reassure me.

When I was called in for my procedure the two nurses C Sos and Elizabeth Diaz saw immediately how nervous I was and were lovely to me, helping me calm down before administering the medication I required.

Dr A Ansari had a wonderful bedside manner explaining what he was about to do and how long it would take. I was so grateful to them.

They were right, it only took a few minutes but without their re assurance I am not sure how I would have coped on the day.

Many thanks for your feedback relating to your recent experience within our endoscopy unit. I will ensure that your positive comments are shared with the teams concerned. We understand the nature of some investigations can be uncomfortable and I am pleased that the teams supported you appropriately during your treatment.

With best wishes
