"Poor communication at Royal Bolton"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I recently had an Endoscopy at Royal Bolton Hospital, and I stayed on Wards D1 and A4. I thought the whole experience was very average. It was hard getting a bed. And having any needles taken out was not good. Otherwise it was ok.

I thought that the nurse was too quick to disregard my point about Social Services involvement.

I am always nervous to go to hospital anyway and not understanding some of what's going on makes me feel very uptight.

We were very sorry to read of your experience particularly regarding Social Services involvement. This should not have happened and I am very sorry that this was the case. Should you be due to access these services in the future and would like some support, please feel free to contact our PALS officer (Patient Advice & Liaison Service) on 01204 390193, who will be happy to assist.
