"Waiting for medication at discharge."

About: East Surrey Hospital

(as the patient),

Why does it take so long to get your medication from East Surrey Hospital when you are waiting to be discharged? Every time I have been in this position it is always the same story.

The last time I was discharged, last week, the ward sent my medication by Courier. And I understand this is not the first time this has happened.

How much is this costing the NHS? It is no wonder it is short of money.

Dear ruffnor

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am sorry you experienced a delay with your medication again. We are working hard to improve the timeliness of discharge medication and avoid delays. I will ensure that the lead pharmacist is aware of your comments.

I hope you are feeling better

Fiona
