My other half broke the very tip of his ring finger yesterday. After a fast efficient and friendly service from the Sevenoaks Minor Injuries Unit, who quickly identified the break and the referred him to the orthopedic surgeon at Tunbridge Wells Hospital (Pembury) and we went straight to A&E there.
The lovely, young surgeon Mike/Michael was ready for us when we arrived and had the courtesy to pop over and say hello and that he would come and get us as soon as a suitable room was free.
Mike explained what he was going to do carefully and expertly manipulated the finger back into place - after a couple of goes the final x-ray showed that the bone had gone back to exactly where it should have been.
Mike showed great care and compassion - even wanting the dressing to look presentable as my other half had an interview the next day.
All the staff at Sevenoaks MIU and in Minors at Pembury were fantastic - friendly and caring - a great example of how fantastic staff in the NHS are.
"Excellent orthopedic doctor at Tunbridge Wells Hospital"
