"Getting referral from local Doctor for incontinence pads and pressure relieve cushion"

About: Norbury Health Centre

(as a relative),

In December 2014 telephoned Doctor's surgery for incontinence pads for mother which is a referral to go to District Nurses which took a long time.

I continue to phone the Norbury health centre for the District Nurses for when these pads will arrive no one got back with a specific date. A another Nurse came to the house and ordered the pads which eventually came in February 2015.

Why do referrals from Doctors surgery take so long? In January 2015, I phoned the Doctors surgery for a pressure relieve cushion for mother and that still hasn't gone through making us feel stressed having to phone up.

Dear Ms Brown

I am very sorry to learn of the difficulties you have encountered in arranging pads and a cushion for your mother. I am happy to contact our community nursing team to see if we can liaise with your mother's GP to ensure your mother's needs are addressed quickly and I should be grateful if you would contact me or our PALS office so that we can obtain your mother's details.

You can contact our PALS office Monday to Friday between 9:30 and 4pm on 020 8401 3210 or at pals@croydonhealth.nhs.uk. Alternatively you can ring me on 020 8401 3000 ext 5990.
