I have tried to get an appointment for the last 3 days with my GP Practice the Cottingham Medical Centre, on South Street in Cottingham. It is virtually impossible to get through on the phone at the times the staff tell you to call, if you do get through there are never any appointments left.
Today, the 3rd day I have tried unsuccessfully to get an appointment, I was advised by the staff to queue outside the practice at 8:30am as this would ensure I got one of the on the day appointments. I was 4th in this queue and by the time I reached the desk there were no appointments left.
The staff seem completely uninterested, show no sympathy or empathy and are completely unhelpful. I work full time and need to see my GP after having a recent operation and needing antibiotics as it is getting infected.
After the problems I have faced this week and the utter lack of interest shown in me by the staff at this practice I would now like to leave and join a different practice.
How hard is it to offer a sit and wait session for people who work full-time 1 night per week and/or a saturday morning?
