"car park complaint"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I would like to complain about parkig in Crosshouse hospital in Kilmarnock. I have found the staff above excellent but parking is a nightmare.

I have watched cars being parked and the drivers boarding a bus for Kilmarnock, they park all day for the cost of a bus fare.

This leaves the patients who need hospital treatment unable to park.

The recent extension to the car park has not helped.

I have frequently changed appointment times so I have a better chance of parking.

My question is, is the car park for patients or people who want free parking?

Dear tara2112,

I am very sorry to hear about your experience in relation to Car Parking at University Hospital Crosshouse. You may have seen in the local media that we are taking steps to introduce a Managed Car Parking with areas segregated as ‘long’ and ‘short’ stay together with a Car Park Warden scheme to assist. We are planning for the Car Park Warden to be commencing duty in May 2015. We are hopeful this will provide a solution and address the issue of inappropriate parking. There will be a similar scheme for Ayr commencing later in the year.
