the treatment in the hospital was at times amateurish and not patient centred. was given the wrong antibiotics for my condition, moved 5 times in two weeks, accrued two additional ailments after being cleared of the illness that i was admitted for, was treated like a child by certain members, had my expectations of being discharged raised with confident assurances from staff to have them dashed on the day, this was despite me and a relative instructing them that i didn't want to know about discharge till the day i was to be realised. finally the treatment there led me to two emotional breakdowns and a wreck. When complaints were made to staff they showed sympathy but continued to defend and justify the actions and then walk away with now follow up or suggestion anything would be looked into. no credibility was given to my concerns. on one occasion my daughter spent twenty minuets trying to trace my whereabouts in the hospital as the exchange records were out of date, each time she was given a location she had to hang up and redial in order to speak to the suggested ward. i was located by my daughter ringing her doughtier who had paid me a visit earlier that day to find the ward she had been to All in all a distressing experience that has shaken my confidence in the quality of care in the hospital.
