Starting January 2013, I have attended numerous inpatient stays, and outpatient departments. In HDU, ICU, various wards( Gastroentorology, urology, cardiology, orthopaedics) I have found all the Surgeons, Doctors, Nursing staff, Domicillary staff all to be attentive. No matter how long my stay, I ask them for their names, which I think they appreciate, and chat to all and they reciprocate. Treat them as you would wish to be treated.
Some instances have been an emergency and both paramedics and ambulance staff have responded magnificently. Only once a delay and that was due to a coach fire on the M4. Used so often, I know ambulance staffs' names. Also the names of the ambulance staff in the booking control centre.
Despite negativity towards hospital and ambulance service, I will always defend them based on my experiences.
"Caring and supportive staff"
