"Thank you to everyone"

About: East Of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Princess Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency Princess Alexandra Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was taken in to PAH recently in March by ambulance and stayed for a few nights.

After admittance via A & E and EAU I ended up on 'Fleming Ward'.

Apart from being unwell at the time the whole experience was enlightening to say the least. I had no idea how busy the place was and how hard everyone worked over long hours.

A & E was not unlike a service area on the M 25 except the traffic was beds and trollies, I was kept updated by the Ambulance Crew who brought me in, three great people who made time for me and most important, they smiled and reassured me that all would be well.

A short stay in EAU and then on to Fleming ward, all the time being monitored and connected to various tubes and dials which bleeped loudly, they made sense to the professionals and I was told 'your doing ok'. From then on I started to follow the treatment I was getting a got to know the teams looking after me and the visits from the Doctors to bring me up to date, they had an infection as well......they smiled..a great infection!

Thank you to everyone who put up with me and the way they talked sense to me, your attention and care was much appreciated by me and my Family. Oh, sorry about wandering off but I did want a News Paper.
