Hi, I am with a NHS dental practice and see the dentist on the NHS. However he is advising every 6 months for me to see the hygienist in the same practice. However the hygienist is not on NHS. I have a dental plan cover with Denplan - but the their cover only covers Hygienist fees up to the NHS limit.
So as a patient what are my chances? How do I go about finding a Hygienist who can see me on NHS contract - rather than pay privately.
Is there a way as a patient I can say to the dentist, I can only see a hygienist on the NHS and cannot afford to pay privately?
I really need advice.
