I was referred to the Eye Centre by Accident and Emergency after sustaining an injury to my eye. This resulted in traumatic cataract surgery under general anaesthetic and three checkups. The opthamologists were very attentive and helpful during the diagnosis. The anaesthetist was reassuring and the nurses were kind and caring particularly on the day of the surgery but also at the check ups afterwards. The surgeon was extremely articulate and dealt with the matter sensitively ensuring I felt well informed prior to the surgery and at the checkups that followed. I feel very fortunate to have been able to access such care and expertise so swiftly, resulting in the most positive outcome possible under the circumstances.
