Having accompanied a friend to the eye department today I was impressed by all the reminders....on the floors and walls and behind the receptionist's desk.....about using the hand sanitisers to help reduce the risk of spreading infection..........only to find that the hand sanitisers on the wall were all empty! The receptionist reported that they needed refilling, presumably to the caretaker department, they did their best.........but it sounded as though they did not get a favourable response! What is going on? Surely it is a priority? What is the point of all the notices if the equipment for prevention remains empty? It is the simple efficiencies that help prevent the spread of infection. The receptionist did their part in reporting it as soon as it was mentioned to them.......the maintenance department did not respond.........the sanitisers were still empty when we left.
