"Barnsley District General - Poor Aftercare & Car Parking"

About: Barnsley Hospital

(as the patient),

The medical staff on Ward 34 have alot to cope with, they do their best of any situation. The car parking at this hospital is absolutely disgusting and needs alot of attention. The aftercare also leaves something to be desired, many changes could be made.

My name is Lucy Hainsworth, and I am the Forum Support Officer for Barnsley Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in Health Forums.

The Forums are a group of volunteers set-up by the government to independently monitor the NHS and involves public opinion in decisions which are made by the NHS on a local level, these include issues such as Hospital Disabled Toilet facilities (which are now undergoing refurbishment at Barnsley Hospital) etc.

We have in the past reviewed the Parking facilities, and continue to monitor the proposed plans the Trust have for its improvement, particularly in relation to Disabled spaces.

I notice that you have commented on the Parking, and wondered if you would be willing to expand on this (anonymously) to help us in this project.
