"I have a disability but hospital transport claim I am not eligible"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Birmingham)

(as the patient),

Hello

Regarding hospital transport at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I am to have neuro surgery in September and I have applied for help with hospital transport as I have no means of getting to the hospital. I have a disability, I live alone and there is nobody to take me. But above all it would be impossible to travel by public transport - not only am I dealing with my disability, but I also get headaches and dizziness (the reason for surgery) and it would be unsafe to travel alone on public transport

There is NO other way for me to get to the QE other than hospital transport

Hospital transport claims I am not eligible?! I understand this is something to do with the disability benefits I receive? So it would seem I am being discriminated against because I have a disability.

Yet the ironic part is they 'qualified' me this week for my appointment to Nuero Sciences - and now apparently I have to appeal against their decision for eligibility for any future use of hospital transport

Sorry, but none of this makes sense?

They decided they would take me this Tuesday - but they won't take me again. So I have to make an appeal against this bizarre decision.

Can you please help me with my appeal?

Thanking you
