I went to QMC Nottingham expecting to stay over night but had to stay longer because it was over the weekend. The care I received was very good and the food was nice. My only suggestion is that the difference between the staff coming round should be more apparent. I didn’t know if the people doing the observations were nurses or different hospital staff. You asked someone a question and they were not the right person to speak to. They said they would find the correct person but if they are busy the message would not always be passed on. I was in hospital with an 83 year old lady who thought everyone was a nurse. I think it would be better if people had name badges that said what they did and maybe even what you can ask them so not to ask the tea lady about your observations! They do wear slightly different uniforms but it is still difficult to differentiate especially if you are ill and not completely aware of everything around you.
