"I am much happier"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

It's now over four weeks since I had cataract surgery on my left eye at Raigmore Hospital. I have an appointment with my optician on Monday and I am hoping that he will confirm my eye a success.

My vision in it is excellent and I am a much happier and more confident person as a result. I paid privately for this operation as the cataracts were extremely fast and I had found myself unable to drive or work in a matter of weeks from diagnosis.

Once the optician has filled in the necessary paperwork and returned it to Raigmore I await notification of when my right eye is scheduled for surgery on the NHS. I believe the normal time between procedures is six weeks so am hoping for an appointment soon.

Dear Madame Defarge Thank you for taking the time again to let us know how things are for you. I am delighted that everything has gone so well for you. It can take a bit longer than 6 weeks to get your appointment for your second eye, so please do not be alarmed if that is the case, it may be up to 10 weeks.

I will pass on your news to the team who will be delighted

many thanks

Linda
