"Outstanding professionals"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

A routine mammogram at the end of November showed abnormalities in my left breast. Within ten days I was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer.

Miss Bright-Thomas the consultant breast surgeon carried out a lumpectomy in December, I was also assigned a breast cancer nurse, Helen Thomas. How fortunate was I to have these two outstanding professionals by my side! Further surgery was needed, I had a full mastectomy of the left breast and reductive surgery to the right, being a rather generously endowed lady this was no mean feat.

Thanks to these wonderfully skilled members of the breast surgery team, and not forgetting the marvelous aftercare of nurses and staff on Beech ward, Worcester Royal Infirmary I am recovering well.

The NHS has taken a battering and particularly Worcester just lately, this in no way reflects on any staff members, they carry out an outstanding service, politicians please ease their considerable burden!

The car parking could be improved.
