My 10 year old was admitted to neurosurgery ward and stayed for two weeksJan 2015. All staff incredibly kind, considerate and professional. This made such a difference to both me and my son at a traumatic time. As a parent accompanying an unwell child you feel a bit of an 'extra' - but staff included me and I was never made to feel in the way. Have now transferred to other hospital for end of treatment which only emphasises how high the quality of resources and especially staff was in Bristol. Use of Nurse Practitioners on ward provides very helpful continuity when nurses chage shifts and Doctors cannot always be to hand (often conducting surgery). My son also loved hospital school and support from play staff. For me - all nursing staff stand out as exceptionally caring whilst doing a tricky job to a very high standard.
"Amazing care during 2 week admission"
