"They are a treasure to the NHS"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

The staff in A and E and the doctors were fantastic. Mum was brought in on Saturday morning in ambulance. She couldn't get a breath. She was taken to accident and emergency.

The nurses were Michelle, Eddie and Allison. The receiving doctor was Gwen. They couldn't get a vein because she is on Warfarin. The doctors and anaesthetists worked on her, as did the nurses. They gave her antibiotics through drips.

Allison even gave me her car keys so I could charge my phone up so my family could keep in touch. After 10 hrs, Mum went up to high dependency coronary care. I can't believe the difference in her. I thought I had lost her. I can't thank the staff enough. They are a treasure to the NHS.

I will never let anyone mis-call Wishaw General again. Once again many thanks. xxx
