Since Decemeber 2006 till present, I have been attending Macclesfield District General Hospital. Excellent treatment from the outset and I received swift diagnosis 48 hours after seeing the GP. Outstanding breast cancer care nursing team. The mastectomy surgeon (Umar) was wonderful. The chemo therapy team was beyond compare as they were caring and calm and set an understanding environment. The oncology professionals from the Christie were excellent and all follow up scans and appointments good. Support group much appreciated and needed in the early days. Macmillan support much welcomed with help advice and counselling. All the staff were superb. The chemo nurses, Joy Bailey and Carla Morris were brilliant. The surgical follow up and oncology (Crawford, Hunter, Lyndhurst), and the breast care nurses (Nicky Davies, Denise Hamer) were all outstanding. The best care possible anywhere in the world. Attentive, efficient and empathetic.
