My mother died in Pilgrims Hospital from acute cholangitis which is a bacterial infection of the Biliary tree,it could have been cured.
The first signs of the illness was August 2008 when the doctors found air in the Biliary canal, instead of performing surgery they sent my Mum home with some story that I didn't understand.
Since that date my Mum suffered continuous pain and was sent from doctor to doctor and not one of them followed up the original problem until 3 days before she died and even then the correct medicine was not prescribed! it took 2 days to get a CT scan! which by now was to late,my Mum was in so much pain the night before she died the staff moved her bed closer to the nurses station on the ward so they could keep a closer eye on her, somehow during the night my Mum tried to climb out of her bed and fell to the floor with a serious head injury which in our opinion may have caused her heart to stop, resulting in her death.
Our family are taking this further as you can imagine we are all so very angry with the doctors in the health service in Lincolnshire
