"RAID department at Bolton Hospital failed my son"

(as a carer),

My son, who suffers from Hebephrenic schizophrenia, went to the RAID department at Bolton Hospital and asked for help, didn't receive any and ended up in Forrest Bank prison.

I have already gone through the correct complaints procedure with Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, but I am not at all satisfied with their response.

My son went to Bolton A&E department and asked for help, he was then signposted to the RAID department and while there they didn't recognise he had a enduring mental health condition and told him to go home and go to bed.

I can't go into to much detail here because the stigma of his condition can cause more problems than the illness itself, which it obviously did when he entered the hospital.

This Trust will not admit they made a mistake which is very frustrating and damaging to both me and my son, they just don't seem to care! My son as lost all trust with this establishment.

I would like to speak to someone, face to face, who will listen, understand without judgement and rectify this terrible situation.
