One of my previous stories was a complaint about the attitude of a paramedic towards my family when taking to my ill newborn son to Kirkcaldy Victoria Hospital back in 2012.
However, in relation to this, I'd also like to take the opportunity to pass on my shockingly belated gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Special Care Baby Unit (or at least that what's I think the name is/was). They really worked hard to help ensure my son was looked after and treated as well as possibly can be, given his fragile state as he was only a few days old, and I'm sure they are the reason he is still with us now as a very healthy, happy, noisy bouncing 2 year old! !
I know that these thanks are a long time in coming, but please rest assured my family and I are deeply grateful for the treatment and care you gave to my son and I cannot praise you high enough, especially having to deal with an ill newborn baby and two tired paranoid parents asking question after question!
