We think that it is absolutely fabulous. When we walked into the hospital I felt it had a very good feel to it. It was comfortable and we could relax. My husband is 88 years old and has cancer. He went in for a blood cell count in order to find out what was wrong. He's been going for many years now, had cancer for four years. I can honestly say everyone has been so so kind. The staff really do their best. I've been a sister and have an eye for these things, there are a higher volume of patients now and it’s so much more difficult for the staff.
The only criticism is the car parking, we have a disabled sticker but it is still a nightmare!.
We haven’t got any problems with staff, they were cleaning all the time and had a very good attitude.
My husband went to the haematology department where the nurses weighed him. There was little wait, only 5 minutes. Then onto the consultant (dr Sammy), who was great, very good communication here.
Everyone knows my husband now and are always asking “are you alright?” and sometimes have a bit of fun with him which is nice. All the staff were very approachable also.
