"Experience of Norbury ward (Stockport)"

I was ill when I entered the ward, but was much worse when I finally begged them to let me out.

It was dirty, the qualified nurses that I met seemed uncaring. Not that I saw much of them as they spent most of their time in their office. I had very little therapeutic interaction with them. They were a great disappointment to me.

I found the experience frightening and traumatic. I am only well now due to the marathon efforts of my family. I live in dread of ever having to go back again.
