"Not an Ordeal"

It began when the routine bowel cancer screening came back as abnormal and I was told that a procedure was really needed. It`s a worrying time, but when I went to see the Specialist Screening Practitioner who was so down-to-earth, informative and friendly that it began to feel less scary. And then I went for the endoscopy. Everything was explained and I almost enjoyed the show on the theatre monitor. You don`t expect to see Fantastic Voyage inside yourself! And it was clear! I was told straight away with no nerve-racking wait. What a great department and what a great team the Endoscopy Unit is. A jewel in the Royal Surrey`s crown
