After attending A and E recently and given a approx waiting time of 1 hour 45 mins I was seen by a lovely assessment nurse who took all my details and the problem I had (toenail partially attached, very painful and bleeding. I then sat in A and E for a further 2 hours before I was called by the doctor, who honestly seemed not to care and made me feel very small and stupid for attending in the first place. He stated he would not mess with the toe or nail and it wasnt that causing the pain more likely to be a fracture in the toe but no xray. I explained that the pain and difficulty walking was because the nail moved and hit the floor everytime I walked to which he just looked at me and said papracetmol will help with the pain. After spending approx 3 hours at A and E way over the stated waiting time I felt letdown and still in pain, so much so I got home and physically pulled the nail off myself (very painful).
