About: Good Hope Hospital

I attended A&E 08.30ish a week or so ago with a double fracture of nose - the 'clinician' failed to introduce herself and having asked me to sit down immediately raised her fingers to my eyes to press the eye socket area. As I was unable to see clearly what she was intending to do I flinched away without thinking,. she was extremely annoyed and told me off then proceeded to sneeze twice without covering his mouth. I found the incident uncomfortable (Im in my 60's and was very disorientated and confused in any case due to my injury). I found her manner strange although she was fairly pleasant after this initial incident. She referred me to Heartlands where I found a totally different attitude amongst the staff all of whom where warm, friendly and understanding.

Dear Liz

I'm sorry to read about you experience in the Good Hope A&E department. I will pick this up with the clinical lead &, if your happy to make yourself known to me, provide direct feedback to the clinician concerned.

Apologies once again.

Richard
