"Endoscopy Unit Southampton General Hospital"

I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of this unit. Yesterday 15/12/14 I had a Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy. To say I was terrified of both procedures is the understatement of all time! The staff were amazing -particularly the nurses - kind, caring, supportive and professional. Tried their very best to alleviate my fears and said that they totally understood my anxieties. The Gastroscopy was fine, little recollection of it, however the Colonoscopy was horrific no fault of anyone's - it seems I have a very loopy bowel which made the procedure very painful and quite lengthy. The Doctors performing this procedure were great - but the support of the 2 male nurses throughout was incredible. There were times when I didn't think I could bear it any longer, however the support and encouragement from the entire team helped to get through this. I will for the rest of my life remain so grateful to them all. Angels really do exist - they work at Southampton General Hospital. My test results were all ok. I have tried to complete the online Friends and Family Test but I am not able to log in. Am using the passcode on the given card but to no avail. Eternally grateful Catherine Owen
