"He answered all my questions very patiently and appropriately"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Neurology (Brain, Spinal and Nerves)

(as the patient),

Neurophysiology Nerve Conduction Tests

Attended Aberdeen Infirmary for nerve conduction tests today and the consultant Dr Forster was very person centered in the way he engaged with me. He was relaxed, listened and showed me the results on screen and explained what they meant as he went along. He also spoke into a dicta phone as the basis of the follow up letter he would send to the requesting consultant explaining that allowed me to hear his assessment for my follow up. He answered all my questions very patiently and appropriately. My only comment is that the ward reception and the consulting room were very outdated and cramped.

Dear JSW

NHS Grampian would like to thank you for taking the time to post your comments about our services. It is always inspiring for staff to hear that they are doing a good job in a person-centred way. We will make sure your feedback is passed on.

Some of our premises are indeed outdated and there is a rolling programme of improvenents designed to address this.

Wishing you good health.
