2 weeks ago I attended jubilee day care centre for a gall bladder op. I arrived 8am very shortly after the anethatist took me in a room & discussed his care of me during the op as I have problems with anesetic he re-assured me he would look after me, after that the surgeon took me into a room & explained the whole procedure to me & drew diagrams, I was then asked if I had any questions. Very quickly after I was taken to get in my theatre gown with a nurse , at each stage my details were thoroughly checked by each person & it was made very clear to me exactly what my procedure was. By 9.10 I was in the theatre where a nurse held my hand whilst I has an injection to put me to sleep. I woke later in a small ward to a nurse asking me how I felt & would I like a cup of tea. More checks were done on me and at lunch time I was transferred to a comfy chair in another room. Then the anethatist & surgeon came to tell me all went very well with the op & shook hands with me .Many checks were done on me for the whole afternoon & the nursing staff were wonderful. I said to one nurses i cannot believe what a nice place this is & how well looked after I have been. She said we all love working here as its such a happy place to work. I left to gonhomevatv5 pm. I can only say that having worked for a bank for 17 years before I retired where I had private medical care for many years this far out weighed the treatmenti i have received in the past. Congratulations to the countess of Chester, this centre is excellent. Can I just thank every member of staff I met that day for the outstanding care I received. June Irwin
