"Excellent Care at A & E"

I have just returned home from a very unexpected visit with my very poorly 3 year old son who was coughing blood up following a diagnosis from the GP this morning of having a chest infection.We arrived at this hospital which was extremely busy on a Friday night around 8pm, with a waiting time of 2.5 hours. The waiting time was not an issue for me as I was grateful that the doctors & nurses were there to help my son. Whilst waiting in the waiting area it was hard for me to believe that the children running around in the play area & waiting area really needed hospital treatment. At one point whilst waiting a heated argument between two parents caused a doctor (who was there to treat sick patients) not break up fights came in to the waiting area to calm things down. Parents we're asking how long they would be waiting, complaining because it was too long. All I can say is, yes I was waiting a long time but so what, my sons health is my priority and I would like to thank all staff involved in helping him on the night of our visit. It would be interesting to see how long the waiting time would be if parents had to pay for visits to this hospital.
