I recently received treatment in the form of a minor operation using a local anaesthetic.
I wish to express my gratitude to both the staff involved and the NHS. After arriving I needed to wait only a few minutes before a Staff Nurse introduced herself and escorted me to a private cubicle for pre-operation final medical tests and questions.
Then wearing a gown we walked the few steps into the operating theatre and I received a friendly welcome from the surgeon and two male theatre nurses.
During the operation the surgeon and his staff spoke to each other and myself using Christian names making sure I was kept fully informed and, I assume, efficiency!
For those having an interest in the on-going national debate about foreign workers, you may wish to know that all the staff I met (regardless of place of origin) were efficient kind and courteous. My thanks again to Mr. Khan and others.
