All staff at Heathwood over the past 5 years of my treatment including three other operations (including one night stay on ward 4) have been amazing. I recently stayed two nights on a very quiet ward 4 after day surgery last weekend - unfortunately some of the staff were brisk, unfriendly, uncaring even condescending. Staff contradicted each other on different shifts about my pain relief and no one could be bothered to answer my questions about my care. Several nurse were rather rude. Perhaps this was just a bad weekend on the ward - but surely this is not acceptable ?
