I went to A&E midnight on one Monday night Tuesday morning with severe abdominal pains, two and a half hour later I was seen given IV paracetamol and an anti memetic, had bloods taken a brief exam. I felt a lot better they said I could go and they'd call if bloods weren't normal. No call good news. Then 7 am Tuesday morning the meds wore off and I was back to square one. Saw my GP Tuesday night who got me in to see someone Wednesday 8. 30. Well I was told at 4. 00pm that day that I'd be kept in for at least a few days!
All that happened on the Wednesday in 8 hours was an X-ray, but my GP and the Drs here did do checks on my intestines which A&E didn't. I wish they had, they think I may have a perforated bowel! The staff there are so lovely but also busy. I asked if I could take my prescribed medication was told to wait and they would come and see me. If I was home I could take my meds and wouldn't have be in the pain whilst waiting to see if I could take my prescribed medication.
