"lack of care by staff Aintree Hospital"

About: University Hospital Aintree / General surgery

(as a relative),

My father was discharged from hospital in a disgraceful condition. It appeared that nursing staff had failed to empty his stoma bag after his lung op, and the smell from the bag hit me as soon as I approached him. The drainage site was red and angry, his stomach peg feed tube was absolutely filthy. His room had a broken window and the wind was howling in. I informed staff, but no one did anything about it. I had to tape the window up with duck tape, as my father was freezing and had just recovered from pneumonia.
