I recently had a major operation and am at the moment recovering from this. I had to ask to come home a day earlier than I really should have done, as I knew if I had stopped another day, I feel that I would have given up. Whilst in hospital, I was given painkillers and they knew that I could not take Ibuprofen has they made me feel sick, so asked for Paracetamol, which I thought was what I had been given, so couldn’t understand why I felt sick after I had taken them. It was not until I was discharged and was given tablets to take home, lo and behold, there was a packet of Ibuprofen. When I told the Sister that I could not take them, she said well it is down here as a prescribed painkiller. I dread to think if it had been anything else.
