What I liked

I attended A&E through my Drs referral, once I was seen I received very professional, caring and helpful advice.

What could be improved

Unfortunately due to A&E being very busy & my condition being more surgical rather than injury or critical based I waited for 5 and a half hours before my consultation. This was just due to the incredible volume that A&E were dealing with. When I left at 10 past midnight - the waiting room was still full.

Anything else?

I can not conceive how closure of this or other departments at St Richards was every considered. The hospital offers excellent service and is incredibly busy and is an essential resource for the local communities.
