"No communications from the doctors"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

being admitted to a&e at 21.50 was left on a trolly in corridor for 2 hrs actual time spent being seen by a nurse was approx 40mins in total at 02.33 was still waiting for a doctor to check results, nobody could give me any idea how long i would have to wait, so i had no option but to discharge myself. the nurse that dealt with me were very efficient and friendly and i couldnt fault the good work they do, but there seemes to be no communication from doctors to nurse at all about even an approximate time they will see you. seems it wants a good overall and someone that can organise things better, it was a good job that i discharged myself because i would have left myself stranded in the carpark unable to get my car out as the cost was 7.50 and luckily i had 8 pounds on me not thinking the charges were that high. maybe thats the idea of keeping patients waiting to boost the parking fees.

Thank you for taking the time to write in and reflect on your experience. We are pleased that the staff you encountered were efficient and friendly. We are sorry however, to note that you were not happy with the poor communication between staff members. Please be assured that we will now pass your comments on to the relevant staff in the Emergency Department for their information and learning.
