"Services - waiting lists"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP in August for an audiology appointment. I still haven't received an appointment. I contacted the appointments service in September and again yesterday. I was told after going through all my details that they are still waiting for some more appointments to become available.

They could have told me that before I gave my details so I am now wondering if this is a postcode lottery.

I thought waiting times had been reduced but to go 2 months without even hearing a word is not good service and am disappointed at the way this service is run.

Update posted by smoff (the patient)

I now have an appointment in the coming weeks. Thank you.

I suppose a Saturday morning appointment is an indication of how stretched our services are!
