My Grandfather was admitted to Inverclyde at 90 years old after having a couple of falls and becoming confused. Sadly this is where he spent his final few months before passing away on the day before New Year's Eve. However I would like to thank and commend all the nursing staff who cared for him during these final days.
They were always helpful and sympathetic whenever I visited as I would often be distressed at seeing him deteriorate, however I took comfort in the fact that the nurses were so helpful, friendly and genuinly caring towards my Grandfather and I can tell he felt looked after and was often cheered up by them as even when he lost his speech, he never lost the twinkle in his eye.
Even after he passed away the nursing staff were helpful and a source of comfort as I collected his belongings.
I would like to thank the staff and nurses of all the wards he was in, especially H North.
