I recently underwent surgery in the day surgery unit of DMH for the removal of my gallbladder. I was apprehensive before admission as I had heard some pretty negative things about the hospital. However I have to say that my treatment, from the surgeon to the porter who took me down to theatre, was faultless. We tend to take these things for granted nowadays, but to be admitted at 7 in the morning for abdominal surgery and back home in time for tea is phenomenal. I had more discomfort and stress having a tooth crowned recently! Thankyou DMH and long live the NHS!
